# The City of Tshwane has welcomed the Vergenoeg Mining Company’s school shoes drive initiative. The company recently donated over 100 pairs of school shoes to learners at the Hosea Kekana High School in Hammanskraal. Mayoral committee member for Economic Development and Spatial Planning, Sarah Mabotsa, says so many children in South Africa have never owned a pair of school shoes in their lives:
