# The trial against former Department of Mineral Resources official Joel Raphela and Gupta-linked entities resumes today at the Johannesburg High Court. This comes after the court ruled in favour of the National Prosecuting Authority’s Investigating Directorate Against Corruption, allowing an auditing expert to testify first in a state capture-related trial. The expert outlined how illegal transactions were allegedly executed. IDAC’s Henry Mamothame says the accused face charges including fraud and money laundering.
