# With May being Child Protection Month, government is calling on all South Africans to unite in safeguarding the dignity, safety, and innocence of every child. Reports state that more than half the children in the country continue to live below the poverty line. Violence, poverty and malnutrition, inequality, and inadequate access to essential services continue to hinder the survival, growth, and development of children.
