# A well-known guest house owner from East-London, 65 year old Karen Carter was found lying near her car with stab wounds by her friend, in the village of Trémolat in the Dordogne region of France, last Tuesday. Mrs Carter’s husband, Alan, who is in South Africa, said she was such a decent, lovely person, and spoke of the family’s shock. A 69-year-old local woman was arrested on Thursday as part of an investigation into the mother-of-four’s death. In an update on over the weekend, prosecutors said she had been released.
