# The South African National Parks has successfully restocked its educational display tank with endangered Knysna seahorses at the Thesen Island office in Knysna. This initiative aims to raise public awareness and support conservation efforts for this unique species, found only in the Knysna, Swartvlei, and Keurbooms estuaries. The restocking involved introducing six young adult seahorses from the Knysna Estuary to enhance genetic diversity and bolster the tank’s breeding population. Visitors are encouraged to learn about the threats they face, including habitat degradation and pollution.
