# Eastern Cape premier Oscar Mabuyane has welcomed the deployment of the South African Police Service Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit to the province. This is to bolster and oversee the ongoing investigation into the alleged rape of a seven-year-old girl in Matatiele. Provincial government’s spokesperson, Khuselwa Rantjie, says the premier wants to see justice prevail in this matter:
