Ex-Denel officials accused of fraud in controversial R1.8-billion joint venture deal [SOUND]

# Former senior officials from state munitions company Denel, Daniel Mantsha and Zwelakhe Ntshepe, have appeared in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crime Court over a controversial 1.8-billion-rand joint venture deal with Denel Asia. They are accused of improperly approving and establishing the joint venture, misrepresenting the deal’s status, and violating government regulations. Investigating Directorate Against Corruption spokesperson, Henry Mamothame, says the pair have been granted 30-thousand-rand bail and will return to court on 16 May:
