# A study using tree ring records has revealed that rising global temperatures are influencing drought conditions across Europe and Asia. Researchers have analysed the Great Eurasian Drought Atlas. The findings published in AGU Advances, show that modern drought conditions in regions like eastern Europe and the Mediterranean are likely driven by climate change rather than natural variability. In contrast, the findings indicate that areas such as northern Europe and Tibet are becoming wetter due to warming temperatures.
