Golf: Garcia also leaves LIV and hopes to play in next year’s Ryder Cup

# Golf: Spaniard Sergio Garcia hopes to participate in next year’s Ryder Cup in Ireland after leaving LIV Golf. The 46-year-old, who won the US Open in 2017, is the team competition’s all-time leading scorer, having participated in ten tournaments. Several leading players have left LIV since it lost the financial backing of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and filed for bankruptcy protection in the US. Garcia will play in the DP World Tour next season and is also keeping his options open to return to the PGA Tour.
