# Tennis: Poland’s Iga Swiatek has reached the quarterfinals of the Wuhan Open in China after beating American Ashlyn Krueger in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. The seventh seed is one of only two top-ten seeds still in the tournament after several leading players were knocked out. Swiatek has now recorded 150 victories at WTA 1000 level, joining Martina Hingis and Serena Williams as the only players to reach that milestone within their first 50 main-draw appearances. She needs a strong run in Wuhan to qualify for next month’s WTA Finals.
