# Golf: Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy has made a solid start at the DP World India Championship in New Delhi, finishing his opening round two under par. The world number two carded four birdies and two bogeys for a 70, leaving him four shots behind leader Niklas Norgaard of Denmark, who shot a six-under-par 66. Heavy rain and thunderstorms caused a delay of almost five hours, and several players had yet to complete their first rounds when play was suspended. Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood also finished two under par.
