# Business Leadership South Africa says the government should use private sector skills to speed up infrastructure projects. In her weekly newsletter, CEO Busisiwe Mavuso said investment fell to 13.6-percent of gross domestic product between April and June, the lowest level in five years. According to Mavuso, the government has budgeted more than one-trillion-rand for infrastructure over three years, but only one in six government tenders was awarded last year. She added skills shortages are delaying projects, while private expertise could help speed up infrastructure delivery.
