City Power delays restoration in Marshalltown after substation fault [SOUND]

City Power says it can no longer confirm today’s restoration target for customers affected by outages in Marshalltown and surrounding areas. This follows a flashover on a circuit breaker and smoke in the feeder board room at Central Substation during an attempt to restore power yesterday. Spokesperson Isaac Mangena says the substation has now been isolated while teams assess the damage.
