DA raises concern over R830 million foreign asset renovation bill [SOUND]

# The DA says International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola has revealed that the estimated cost of renovating South Africa’s embassy buildings and other foreign assets stands at 830-million-rand. The party’s Ryan Smith says condition reports compiled over three years estimate repairs to South African foreign assets in the UK at about 170-million-rand and those in the Netherlands at around 110-million-rand. He says the figures point to long-standing maintenance challenges at South Africa’s diplomatic properties:
