# The City of Tshwane is urging students to play a bigger role in growing the capital’s economy and tourism sector. Mayoral committee member for Economic Development and Spatial Planning, Sarah Mabotsa, says the Tshwane Economic Revitalisation Strategy is creating practical opportunities for students and young entrepreneurs to enter the economy. She says the five-year plan, adopted in April 2025, targets economic growth of about 3.9-percent by 2029, at least 80-thousand new jobs and 17-billion-rand in new investment:
