# The Commission for Gender Equality has began its investigations on gendered power dynamics at the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature. The investigation will examine allegations and concerns around bullying, harassment, intimidation, sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and retaliation. In addition, the commission will look into how complaints are reported, investigated and addressed, including the strength of accountability mechanisms. The commission says the probe is beyond individual cases to examine workplace culture, policies and practices that could allow gender-based power imbalances to persist.
