# GOOD Party leader Patricia de Lille is calling on communities to break the silence that protects perpetrators of gender-based violence. Speaking at the party’s election manifesto launch in Athlone, Cape Town, De Lille said stronger cooperation between communities and police is needed to tackle GBV. She says residents must work with law enforcement to create safer communities and ensure perpetrators are held accountable. The GOOD Party is campaigning ahead of the November fourth local government elections.
