Solidarity welcomes court ruling against race-based state procurement rules [SOUND]

# Trade union Solidarity says the Constitutional Court has found the Public Procurement Act was not properly passed into law. As a result, race can no longer be used to automatically disqualify companies from government tenders. The union’s Theuns du Buisson says government contracts should focus on value and service delivery rather than race.
