Council urges Gauteng families to help identify bodies

# The National Council on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide is appealing to families with missing loved ones in Gauteng to come forward and assist with DNA identification of women who were murdered in the province. This follows the discovery of the bodies of nine women in Ekurhuleni since July, with several reportedly showing signs of sexual violence. The council says police have reiterated there is no waiting period to report a missing person. Families are urged to immediately report missing persons at their nearest police station.
