# The National Arts Festival has opened applications for its 2027 Fringe programme in Makhanda, Eastern Cape, inviting artists from South Africa and around the world to submit their work. The festival is looking for a wide range of creative work, including new forms of art, digital technology and projects based on indigenous knowledge. Organisers are also encouraging new and returning artists, as well as work aimed at young audiences and performances outside traditional theatres. Applications close on 8 November.
