# Between February 28 and June 30, the US war against Iran has cost an estimated 545-billion-rand, with 364-billion-rand of that spent on expended munitions alone. This is according to the Defence Department’s inspector general’s report, which reveals that the expenditure of ammunition during the conflict has resulted in strategic inventory shortfalls and industrial base bottlenecks for resupply. The inspector general has also noted major physical damage to American diplomatic facilities in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates from Iranian strikes.
