Businessman Scharnick granted R5,000 bail on firearms charges

# Businessman Stuart Scharnick has been granted five-thousand-rand bail by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on firearms-related charges. These include improper firearm storage and allowing unauthorised access to a weapon. The court ruled that the state failed to provide sufficient facts to justify his continued detention. Scharnick must surrender his passport, report address changes and notify the investigating officer when leaving the province. The case returns to court on 11 November.
