Health Department reports strong uptake of twice-yearly HIV prevention drug [SOUND]

# The Department of Health says more than 55-thousand people have started using lenacapavir, a twice-yearly injectable medication to prevent HIV. The programme has been rolled out at 360 public health facilities across six provinces, with women making up 71-percent of those receiving the injection. Gauteng has recorded the highest number of injections, followed by KwaZulu-Natal.
