# Statistics South Africa says electricity generation fell by 7.9-percent in July, while electricity consumption dropped by 2.6-percent. Seasonally adjusted generation also declined by 0.4-percent compared with June. However, electricity distribution increased by 0.3-percent month-on-month. Stats SA’s Tsholofelo Ditinti says generation fell by 1.3-percent over the three months to July, while electricity distribution increased by 1.2-percent over the same period:
