# Parliament’s portfolio committee on International Relations and Cooperation has welcomed the conclusion of the investigation into the South African High Commissioner to India, professor Anil Sooklal. The Department of International Relations and Cooperation has cleared Sooklal of any wrongdoing when he attended the same religious event in Haridwar, India, as former president Jacob Zuma and State Capture suspect Ajay Gupta. Committee chairperson Supra Mahumapelo says they are satisfied that this matter has been dealt with transparently and in line with due process.
