# The South African Police Service has confirmed that Crime Intelligence deputy head Feroz Khan has been dismissed. This follows his failure to appear before an internal police disciplinary hearing over misconduct allegations against him. On Monday, the Labour Court dismissed Khan’s urgent bid to stop a disciplinary process that could cost him his job. National Police spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, says that as the matter has been the subject of legal proceedings, SAPS will continue to respect and abide by the decisions of the courts:
