# Eskom says it has made progress in addressing its qualified audit opinion. Independent auditors Deloitte and Touche flagged incomplete records relating to the quantification and disclosure of irregular expenditure under the Public Finance Management Act. However, the qualification no longer covers the accuracy of reported irregular expenditure or losses linked to criminal conduct. Eskom says its audit recovery programme has strengthened governance, controls and accountability. Eskom says management and the Board have prioritised resolving the remaining qualification through improved compliance, oversight and consequence management.
