# Google’s parent company, Alphabet, and Marvell Technology have signed a major custom AI chip agreement. Under the multi-year deal, Marvell granted Google’s parent company stock warrants to purchase up to 194-billion-rand in shares. The deal is tied to Google spending roughly 1,9-trillion-rand on Marvell’s custom hardware by 2033. This partnership positions Marvell as a key secondary partner for Google’s IT-infrastructure, directly challenging Broadcom’s historical dominance and accelerating Google’s efforts to lower its reliance on Nvidia chips.
