American third seed Jessica Pegula advanced to the fourth round after defeating Uzbekistan’s Kamilla Rakhimova, 6-4, 6-0, while Polish seventh seed Iga Swiatek recorded a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Swiss Viktorija Golubic. In the men’s draw in Montreal, Britain’s Cameron Norrie knocked out third seed Australian Alex de Minaur, 5-7, 7-6, 6-1, to reach the fourth round. Spaniard Rafael Jodar defeated Italian Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 6-3.
