# Fourteen people have been killed in Russian strikes on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and nearby areas today. At least 22 were injured. Moscow’s Defence Ministry says its military launched a massive strike using ground-based, precision-guided weapons and long-range strike drones. It says the attack hit transport, logistics and distribution centres, claiming the facilities were involved in the storage and delivery of various weapons and military cargo. In July, Russian attacks killed at least 377 civilians in Ukraine, making it the deadliest month of the invasion.
