# The High Court in Johannesburg has heard that police allegedly failed to follow proper legal procedures when arresting accused one, Musa Kekana, in the attempted murder trial involving Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala and four co-accused. The trial within a trial is examining the legality of the arrest. Defence attorney Annalene van den Heever argued police contravened the Criminal Procedure Act by not taking Kekana to a police station immediately after his arrest:
