# The National Consumer Commission has announced a safety recall for two-thousand-208 Toyota Urban Cruiser vehicles manufactured between 17 January and 3 June last year due to a faulty fuel gauge. The commission’s Phetho Ntaba says the defect could cause the fuel indicator to display more fuel than is actually in the tank, increasing the risk of the vehicle running out of fuel and stalling:
