# AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has urged respect for South Africa’s immigration laws, saying shared cultural and historical ties across southern Africa should not justify illegal migration. Speaking during an official visit to Zimbabwe, the King told president Emmerson Mnangagwa that African identity transcends colonial borders but sovereign nations have the right to enforce their immigration laws. He emphasised that his own entry into Zimbabwe followed legal procedures, adding that border control should not be mistaken for xenophobia.
