Competition Commission prosecutes Audatex over alleged price discrimination

# The Competition Commission has referred vehicle repair estimation software company Audatex South Africa to the Competition Tribunal for alleged price discrimination. The commission claims Audatex charged small and medium-sized businesses, as well as historically disadvantaged firms, significantly higher prices than larger customers for the same services. The commission’s Siyabulela Makunga says the Tribunal has been asked to impose an administrative penalty of up to ten-percent of the company’s annual turnover.
