# The Small Business Institute has released a report assessing government efforts to support South Africa’s small businesses. Compiled by small, medium, and micro enterprises expert Septi Bukula, the report concludes the Government of National Unity has succeeded in stabilising the economy but still faces challenges in delivering meaningful improvements for small businesses. SBI CEO John Dludlu says stronger collaboration between government, the private sector, development finance institutions and banks is needed to unlock the full potential of South Africa’s SMMEs sector.
