# The South African National Roads Agency has launched a Contractor Development Programme aimed at strengthening black-owned civil engineering companies and expanding participation in road infrastructure projects. The initiative targets Construction Industry Development Board grade five to nine contractors and will provide training, mentorship, skills development and financial support. SANRAL says ten-percent of selected projects will be reserved for designated groups, including black-owned businesses and companies owned by persons with disabilities. The programme will operate across all nine provinces. Applications close on the 10th of July.
