Minister Schreiber says the department is overstretched with just 832 immigration inspectors [SOUND]

# Minister of Home Affairs, Leon Schreiber, says his department is under significant pressure, with just 832 immigration inspectors having to deal with more than 40-thousand cases since January. Addressing the media at an Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration yesterday, the minister stated that his department is moving toward technology-driven reforms. Schreiber added that the department has begun using biometric recordings through the Electronic Travel Authorisation system for those who want to enter South Africa:
