# The government plans to significantly increase emergency fuel stockpiles after a review found major weaknesses in the petroleum security system. Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources Gwede Mantashe says a draft policy proposes building strategic fuel reserves of up to 60-days of net imports, compared to current levels of about two weeks.
