South Africa targets 60-day fuel safety net after security review [SOUND]

# The government plans to significantly increase emergency fuel stockpiles after a review found major weaknesses in the petroleum security system. Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources Gwede Mantashe says a draft policy proposes building strategic fuel reserves of up to 60-days of net imports, compared to current levels of about two weeks. He says the plan is aimed at improving energy security amid global supply risks and conflict-related disruptions:
