Soccer: Former Bafana stars back South Africa to beat Mexico this evening

# Soccer: Two former Bafana Bafana stars believe South Africa is able to cause an upset in tonight’s World Cup opening match against co-hosts Mexico. Maimane Phiri says Bafana should collect enough points to at least reach the knock-out stage. The former midfielder represented South Africa in the 1998 World Cup in France, and remembers the 2010 home tournament where Bafana and Mexico played to a draw. Yeye Lesholonyane, who played in that match, says the current team deserves to participate. Kick-off in Mexico City is at 9pm.
