# KwaZulu-Natal Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Thulasizwe Buthelezi has welcomed the payment of September salaries to all employees at Zululand District Municipality. This follows an intervention by his department. The MEC had ordered the municipality to resolve the matter urgently. The department’s Siboniso Mngadi says municipalities must pay workers on time and honour their obligations to employees and communities:
