# Zambian police have summoned opposition leader Brian Mundubile for questioning over an alleged plot threatening national security. Mundubile, who finished second in the August 13 election, has rejected president Hakainde Hichilema’s victory, alleging the vote was rigged, and says he will challenge the result in court. Police say Mundubile and his running mate Makebi Zulu have sought refuge with an unnamed international organisation. Mundubile has previously dismissed the alleged plot as fabricated.
