# Witness I has revealed at the Madlanga Commission that he stayed at a property owned by controversial businessman Vusimusi “Cat” Matlala for nearly two-years following attempts on his life during a 2023 attack at his Mamelodi home. He was advised by SAPS Captain Faleni Zungu to relocate for safety reasons. He only later learned the property belonged to Matlala and had no direct contact with him:
