# The Cape of Good Hope SPCA says winter animal adoptions fall by an average of 14-percent as fewer people adopt in winter. Spokesperson Belinda Abraham says over the past three years that pattern has been consistent. June, July and August are reliably the lowest adoption months, while November, December and January are the strongest. She says in the worst winter month recorded during that period, adoptions fell by more than 30-percent:
