# The Western Cape Department of Mobility is inviting residents to comment on the proposed increases to motor vehicle licence fees, published in the Provincial Gazette Extraordinary. The department’s spokesperson, Muneera Allie says the proposed increases, which are scheduled to take effect in August this year, are open for public comment until the 17th of May. She says the province is home to over two-million registered vehicles:
