Western Cape government works to restore access between Villiersdorp and Grabouw

# The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure says construction of a five-million-rand temporary bypass along Vyeboom Road, between Villiersdorp and Grabouw, is progressing well following extensive flood damage. Floodwaters damaged sections of the road and infrastructure around the Rust River bridge, disrupting connectivity. The bypass aims to restore connectivity and provide a safer alternative route while permanent repairs are carried out. Infrastructure MEC Tertuis Simmers says the project aims to restore access and minimise disruption to affected communities.
