# The Western Cape government has launched an emergency response to restore water services in Beaufort West after floods damaged key water infrastructure. The provincial government has made one-million-rand available for urgent repairs, while water tankers supply residents and technical teams repair the damaged 600-millimetre pipeline. MEC for Local Government, Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Anton Bredell, says vulnerable communities and critical facilities are being prioritised as water services are restored.
