# Western Cape premier Alan Winde says one-thousand-800 megawatts could be added to the grid in 2026/2027 if current progress continues. This is part of the province’s Energy Resilience Programme. The premier’s spokesperson, Regan Thaw, says the province remains on track to deliver five-thousand-700 megawatts of new energy capacity by 2035. He says they also welcome Cabinet’s move to publish the revised Electricity Pricing Policy for public comment:
