WCED urges learners not to disrupt schooling while matriculants prepare for exams

# The Western Cape Education Department has urged learners to avoid disrupting school amid matric exam preparations. This follows incidents at Vista High School in Cape Town’s Bo-Kaap, where students damaged a newly installed fence yesterday. WCED spokesperson Bronagh Hammond confirmed parents had been informed and stressed that such behaviour causes unnecessary disruption to teaching and learning, particularly for Grade 12 learners completing trial examinations ahead of next month’s National Senior Certificate exams.
