# The City of Tshwane says the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant will be shut down from 8am to 5pm today, to allow urgent repairs on the main bulk pipeline. The metro’s spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, says a major pipe leak has forced the temporary shutdown, after initial repair attempts failed due to excessive water inflow at the excavation site. He says areas such as Zithobeni, Rethabiseng, Ekangala, Erasmus and Leeuwfontein will be affected:
