UIF committed to resolving Labour Activation Programme stipend delays promptly [SOUND]

# The Employment and Labour Department says administrative discrepancies and attempted fraud by Labour Activation Programme partners have delayed stipend payments for employability programme participants. The department’s spokesperson, Teboho Thejane says a recent review by the Unemployment Insurance Fund  highlighted opportunities for enhanced administrative accuracy. He says the UIF is strengthening its review process for invoices and attendance records submitted by partnering companies, which is expected to improve overall efficiency:
